Does the product function as advertised?
Yes – it functions exactly as advertised. And it saved us: Our internal Oracle database server failed and we had to failover to the standby server. The failover was entirely successful. Scale of 1 - 10 how do you rate your overall satisfaction? We never give 10’s to anything, so let’s say 9. Have you required much support? No, but when we’ve needed it, they’ve been excellent: responsive and helpful. As you can tell, we’re very happy with the product. It provides strong functionality at a value price. Highly recommended.

I'm sure he would think that Dbvisit hit the mark! As the solution takes a complex problem and distills it down to reliable, cost effective, and easy to use product. It works as advertised, the manual is comprehensive/to the point, and the support is great! If anyone is considering this product, give it a try, it sells itself.

Dbvisit is exactly as advertised: a high-value, highly reliable, easy to install and easy to configure disaster recovery solution - at a fraction of the cost of using Oracle's disaster recovery solution. We set up both onsite and offsite standby servers and pretty much forget about them - Dbvisit just works.

For your info - our manually scripted standby database used to fall out of sync on a daily basis before the installation of Dbvisit.

Dbvisit is definitely a tool which helps hard pressed technical staff by TRULY simplifying and automating the complex management of standby databases.
My company was able to save quite a bit on Oracle licensing by being able to deploy the Standard Edition of Oracle 10g and still get the same DR functionality (thru Dbvisit) as with the more expensive options of Oracle Enterprise Edition and Data Guard. I found it relatively easy to setup and use, and very important to me was the speed and quality of the support from the Dbvisit team during my testing phase. Those guys are very much on the ball. Of the Dbvisit features, an unexpected bonus feature for me was the fact that the transmission of the archive logs is in an encrypted tunnel out of the box and the logs are also compressed, so it is not only secure but works well even where you have a slow connection to your DR site like what I have currently.

Thanks for your assistance and your good product. We took our first Summit Canada data centre client live the first weekend in February with two standby servers. The latest patch supporting the ability to automatically process the archive log on the standby server is brilliant. I always like less maintenance and fewer things to go wrong. Keep up the good work.
