Dbvisit license type:
The Dbvisit license is a perpetual license which never expires.
The Dbvisit Single Instance license is used for Dbvisit on ONE primary instance and on one primary server. The Dbvisit standby database license is included for the standby server (including multiple standby databases from the same primary database).
The Dbvisit Multiple Instances license is a server based license and is needed when Dbvisit is used with more than one primary instance on the SAME primary server. This license is more cost-effective than purchasing multiple Single Instance licenses for the same server. The Dbvisit standby database license is included (including multiple standby databases from the same primary database).
CPU:
AMD and Intel Dual core CPU are counted as single CPU.
AMD and Intel Quad core CPU are counted as 2 CPU.
Sun UltraSPARC T1 4 core CPU is counted as single CPU.
Sun UltraSPARC T1 6 and 8 CPU core is counted as 2 CPU.
Dbvisit edition:
To determine which Dbvisit edition is required, count the total number of CPU in your primary server (exclude standby servers). For example if your primary servers has 4 CPU, then the Dbvisit Standard (DS) Edition is required.
RAC licensing:
For RAC, the number of CPU is the total number CPU for all primary servers in the RAC database (exclude standby servers).
The Multiple Instances license applies for Oracle RAC.
You only need to purchase ONE Dbvisit Multiple Instances license for one Oracle RAC database across all your primary servers (or nodes).
Dbvisit support:
To extend maintenance beyond the first three months an additional twelve months of (annual) maintenance agreement can be purchased with the Dbvisit license
to extend the product upgrades and technical support to a total of 15 months for the first year (12 months for subsequent years).
The price for the annual maintenance agreement is 25% of the list price of the applicable license.
