Dbvisit Software Limited grew out of our CTO and founder Arjen Visser’s previous experience as a database specialist in New Zealand and Europe. Routinely called in to fix “home-grown” disaster recovery solutions that lacked robustness, or were very hard to configure and maintain, this inspired him to develop and launch Dbvisit in 2006. Renamed to Dbvisit Standby in 2011, our flagship product for Oracle® Database Standard Edition users is trusted by customers in over 60 countries worldwide to inexpensively protect their critical data infrastructure.

Arjen Visser CEO and CTO

Arjen has over 20 years of database experience in the IT industry. His technical expertise and extensive IT knowledge covers a broad range of industries and areas. He is passionate about helping to create software that is highly effective and simple to use.

In his leisure time he enjoys playing tennis and sailing.

Eric van der Sluis Global Business Development Manager

Eric has a focus on building trusted relationships and brings with him over 20 years of experience in the information technology space. Prior to joining Dbvisit Software he held several key sales and management positions with a major New Zealand Healthcare Software development company.
In his spare time Eric is an enthusiastic Longboarder, swimmer and reader.

Mark Ripma

Mark is a service and marketing executive with experience in the United States, New Zealand, and Europe. He has helped three software startups grow into global companies and is now advising Dbvisit on growing North American operations.
He lives near Silicon Valley and enjoys family time and walking along the beach.

Mike Donovan Service and Online Delivery Manager

Mike is a skilled Service and Online Delivery Manager who likes to work in a challenging and innovative environment. He has a diverse background in developing software, and is very experienced with Oracle.
His other interests are: surfing, reading, running and music.

Kelly Langi has a background in a range of industries working in a sales, marketing and customer service capacity.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, gardening and craft.

Bertie brings a creative edge to Dbvisit, employing her extensive marketing background to ensure more companies worldwide can benefit from our products. Bertie has a strong focus on customer care and building solid relationships with clients.
Bertie speaks fluent English, Dutch and German. Based in New Zealand she loves hiking, gardening and art.

Vit Spinka Lead Product Development

Oracle 11g Certified Master, Oracle 11g Certified Professional, 8 years of Oracle experience Unix/Linux knowledge. Well versed in PL/SQL, Perl and C, strives for perfection with the motto: anything is achievable. He likes to learn something new every day.
Other interests: classical music, exploring the depths of Oracle.

Anna Macnaughtan Development & Support

Anna is a certified Oracle DBA with wide knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Perl programming. Anna's experience in software development combined with her background in Oracle database administration brings value to the business.
She enjoys reading, swimming, movies and travel.

Krupesh Desai Software Engineer

Krupesh is an Oracle 10g Certified Associate who holds a Masters degree from Symbiosis International University, India and a Post Graduate Diploma from Auckland University of Technology in Computer Science. He is proficient in both database administration and development, and has good knowledge of programming in C/Perl. In his spare time he enjoys playing cricket and listening to music.
