The rollback procedure to downgrade from version 5.1 to version 4.0 are:
1) ON THE PRIMARY SERVER: i) Start dbvisit_setup (version 5.1) Choose option 5) Manage Dbvisit Standby Database repository (DDR) Choose option 2) Downgrade Dbvisit Standby Database repository (DDR) This will downgrade repository back to version 4.0 ii) Remove the following Dbvisit Standby 5.1 executables and files from the main Dbvisit Standby install directory: -dbv_functions -dbvisit -dbvisit_setup -dbv_oraStartStop -dbv_ORACLE_SID.env -README.txt -Dbvisit_UserGuide5.1.pdf iii) Copy the Dbvisit Standby 4.0 executables and files from the backup location into the main Dbvisit Standby install directory. -cmd01.sed -dbv_get_last_arch_remote -dbv_ORACLE_SID_ARCH.env -config.guess -dbvisit -dbv_ORACLE_SID.env -dbv_arch_management -dbv_oraStartStop -dbv_common -dbvisit_help.txt -localpath -dbvisit_lic.txt -dbv.env -dbvisit_setup iii) Replace the Dbvisit Standby 4.0 version of your DDC file from the backup location into the main Dbvisit Standby install directory. The DDC file is the configuration file that is specific for each datatabase. The format is dbv_<database>.env. Where <database> is the name of your database. iv) Ensure all files are executable with command: chmod 750 * 2) ON THE STANDBY SERVER i) Remove the following Dbvisit Standby 5.1 executables and files from the main Dbvisit Standby install directory (if they exist): -dbv_functions -dbvisit -dbvisit_setup -dbv_oraStartStop -dbv_ORACLE_SID.env -README.txt -Dbvisit_UserGuide5.1.pdf ii) Copy the Dbvisit Standby 4.0 executables and files from the backup location into the main Dbvisit Standby install directory. -cmd01.sed -dbv_get_last_arch_remote -dbv_ORACLE_SID_ARCH.env -config.guess -dbvisit -dbv_ORACLE_SID.env -dbv_arch_management -dbv_oraStartStop -dbv_common -dbvisit_help.txt -localpath -dbvisit_lic.txt -dbv.env -dbvisit_setup ii) Replace the Dbvisit Standby 4.0 version of your DDC file from the backup location into the main Dbvisit Standby install directory.
