Default Setting up Ssh without passphrase for Linux/Unix

Dbvisit Standby requires ssh to be set-up without a passphrase or password between the primary and the standby server.

To setup SSH without a passphrase please see:
http://www.dbvisit.com/docs/Setup_ss...passphrase.pdf

This should be done as the same owner that is running Dbvisit Standby.

Ensure the home directory of the user is set to chmod 755. If it is set to 775 or 777, then ssh will keep asking for the password.
Example:
dbvisit11[/oracle/orabase]> ls -la
total 992
drwxr-xr-x 40 oracle dba 4096 Sep 17 02:46 .

Ensure the privileges of the files under the .ssh are set correctly. They should match:
-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 606 Sep 17 05:48 authorized_keys
-rw------- 1 oracle dba 668 Feb 27 2007 id_dsa
-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 606 Feb 27 2007 id_dsa.pub
-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 1296 Jun 17 12:05 known_hosts
