With Dbvisit Standby version 6.0.24 and below, there are a few manual steps you have to do to install Dbvisit Standby using a Domain account under Windows.
As of Dbvisit Standby version 6.0.26 this manual work around is no longer required. Lets assume that the Domain account is DOMAIN\oracle The steps are: Primary server:
Standby server:
The SSH connection between the 2 servers will not work yet. Do the following on both servers to setup the domain account:
Now test the network connection. This can be tested by going to the Dbvisit Command console and typing: dbv_functions -a system_readiness This can be done on both primary and standby servers to test the connection going both ways. The local account oracle can then be deleted or made inactive on both servers. Last edited by Arjen Visser; 03-28-2012 at 09:55 AM. |
