Default apply redo

Hi,

If I have a failed primary, but have access to the active redo logs, can they be applied to the standby, to achieve a 0 transaction lose unscheduled failover?

Matt.

No this is not possible. There is a slight difference between redo and archive logs (just one or 2 bits). Oracle will not allows you to recover the standby database with redo logs.
