Dbvisit Standby version 6.0.xx, there is a limitation that it is not possible to change the default installation location for Windows 2008R2. If a different path is chosen in the installer, then this is ignored and Dbvisit Standby is installed under:
C:\program files\dbvisit OR C:\program files (x86)\dbvisit (for 64bit). It is possible after the installation to manually move the Dbvisit Standby installation to a different location. The steps are quite simple. The steps are:
This has to be done on both the primary and standby servers. For an upgrade the above steps also need to be done. Then temporarily copy the dbvisit.exe file to "C:\program files\dbvisit\standby" (create the necessary directories if necessary) Run the system_readiness again with command: dbv_functions -a system_readiness After the system_readiness has been completed successfully, "C:\program files\dbvisit\standby\dbvisit" can be removed.
