Yes if the tape drive can be mounted onto a filesystem (like a USB drive).
With Dbvisit Standby you can only specify a mount point (file system) to TM. Example /mnt/usb1
However a tape device is usually something like /dev/cd2rd
and that is a not a filesystem, so this compatibility will need to be determined.
