Error when trying to upgrade to 6.0.14

I have just downloaded the latest release and was running ./dbview_install to update from version 6.0.12. I and running the install as oracle. Running it and accepting all the default answers gave me the following.

+++ Thank you. Commencing installation right away...

Stopping all old dbvserverd processes possibly running...
Updating Dbvserver configuration file...
Detected a previous Dbvisit Standby installation, an upgrade will be performed...
Creating installation sub-directories...
Installing product files...
Error during file copy phase: Copy dbvserverd failed (Text file busy). Please ensure dbvserverd processes have all stopped and try again. at /home/oracle/Desktop/DBVisit/dbvisit/dbvisit_install line 362.


Exiting...

I have run the killall dbvserverd as suggested by the readme file but it seems to make no difference.

This is the first time I have had this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks, as always.

Hello Richard,

Sometime the Linux killall does not actually kill all the processes.
I suggest that you manually identify the dbvserved processes and kill them manually:
ps -ef | grep dbvserverd

oracle 2361 1 0 Nov12 ? 00:00:00 dbvserverd
oracle 2477 1 0 Nov12 ? 00:00:00 dbvserverd
oracle 2560 1 0 Nov12 ? 00:00:00 dbvserverd

kill -9 2361 2477 2560

And then try running dbvisit_install again.
